The mission of the Interamerican College of Radiology is to unite the Ibero-American National Groups of Radiology and, through them, all the specialists who are part of them, in order to raise the medical, technical, scientific, and human quality of their professional practice.
One of the most moving moments of the SERAM 2026 Congress in Valencia was the awarding of the SERAM Gold Medal to Dr. Ángel Gayete, in recognition of an exemplary career in the service of radiology.
The heartfelt tribute delivered by Dr. Fátima Matute highlighted both the professional and human dimension of one of the great leaders of Latin American radiology, an example of excellence and commitment to our specialty.
